Our Cattle
Steers
We are primarily a growing-backgrounding and finishing operation. Our steers are vital to the operation at Sweetwater, and give us the final product.
cows
Along with a new herd sire, we have also acquired some great F1 Akaushi/Angus Cow calf pairs to grow the herd! Pictures to come soon!
Bulls
We have acquired a herd bull! Formerly known as "44," we have named him "tashuma" to reflect his Japanese genetics and physical qualities (although we mostly call him "Red"). He's moderately framed, very docile, and full of character. He also looks forward to doing his job to the best of his abilities! Pictures to come soon! The kanji characters representing his name are:

Heifers
Among the cow-calf pairs we bought, there was one heifer calf. She's an F2 Akaushi/Red Angus hybrid, and is very sweet and friendly, while being robust in her build and demeanor. Vibrant and inquisitive, she holds her own along with the two steer calves she arrived with. Her name is "Ichigo," which means "Strawberry." The kanji character representing her name is:
